When I grow up I want to be just like my Daddy!
Hi! I am doing so many new things! I wanted to tell you about them! I have started playing peek-a-boo with Mommy and Daddy. This game is so fun that I giggle every time we play. I also have been trying so hard to crawl. I can usually get to my to my toys or my Mommy or Daddy by rolling though! I have been practicing sitting with my boppy pillow. I like to sit up and look around. I have also been babbling away! I have been saying mamamamamama and bububububububu mostly. I love, love, love, Mommy's and Daddy's glasses. I pull them off their faces every chance I get! I finally started sleeping in my bed - instead of my glider seat. I have been sleeping in my bed for about two weeks now. I have an Alabama mobile that my Mama Kaye bought that I like to watch and listen to. Last night, Mommy caught me dancing to it like I do my musical blue elephant! I have also been spitting my food - at most meals. It feels so good on my lips and mouth. Mommy and Daddy keep telling me "NO," but I don't know what that means so I just keep on spitting and smiling. I love to eat broccoli and chicken baby food. Daddy thinks it stinks, but it is very yummy. Daddy lets me watch Sponge Bob Square Pants while he fixes my breakfast. I really love that show. Mommy went back to work after Christmas, so Daddy and I have been spending a lot of time together. We have fun. Then Mommy comes home and she and I play all afternoon. I am a happy and healthy girl!
In November when Daddy was away at a ballgame, Mommy took me to Michelle Shiflet's photography studio. Mommy took lots of Daddy's Alabama things to the studio so Michelle could take my picture with them. It was hard not to tell Daddy about getting my picture made! We surprised Daddy and gave this picture to him for Christmas.
When I wear my pink poodle pajamas that Aunt Lori gave me, I like to wiggle my feet out between the last snap and the footie. I do it every time I wear this pair of pajamas. Mommy says my feet are as cold as popsicles when I wake up in the mornings and they are sticking out! I like to do it anyway. Today when I was playing on my blanket I wiggled my feet out. I saw them sticking up in the air and I finally grabbed onto those wiggly things with
my hands. They felt so funny! Daddy says I'll probably be putting them in my mouth soon. That sounds like fun to me!
This is my beautiful Christmas dress. Mommy's cousin Emily sewed and smocked it for me. Mommy says I look just like a baby doll. I think it is so pretty! On Christmas Eve, Mommy, Aunt Lori, Grandmother, Granddaddy, and I got to light the Advent candles at church. It was special! I got to wear my pretty dress. A lady at my church took our picture. I will ask Mommy to post it when she gets a copy.
Can you tell in my pictures that I feel bad? I went to the doctor last week because I had a fever. I had strep throat and an ear infection! I am finally starting to feel better today. I have been talking and laughing and playing. I didn't get to go to my 6-month checkup and get my shots because I was sick. But, I weighed 13 pounds and 12 ounces at the doctor visit. I am also 24 inches long now. I go back to the doctor on January 8 to get my ears checked and to get my 6-month shots.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We are not finished celebrating yet. On New Year's Day we will go to my great-grandparents' house. I have lots of things to tell you about Christmas, but you will have to check back later! It's my bedtime!
Mommy says I have been a little more fussy than usual. She told my Mama Kaye and my Grand-mother. They all wonder if I am trying to get a tooth. Mommy tried to look in my mouth. Every time she opened my mouth I stuck my tongue out so that she couldn't see in! Pretty silly, huh? Mommy never saw a tooth. She also tried feeling around inside my mouth (I made her wash her hands before she did that), but she didn't feel anything either. By the way, what is a tooth anyway?
Today Mommy fed me green beans with my cereal. I really liked them. I got them everywhere. Does that surprise you? They even got into my nose! After I ate, Mommy and Daddy took me to my room to clean me up. Mommy washed my face. She told me she had to get those green beans out of my nose. When she washed my nose I just laughed and laughed. It tickled!!
