PreSchool Day 2

I had a great second day at preschool! I didn't even cry when it was time for me to go to my classroom. I went to the cafeteria to eat breakfast with my friends. I chose Coco Puffs but I did not like them. I won't choose them again! When I got to my room there was a loud noise - it was the fire alarm. The entire school had to go outside because of a fire drill. I thought that it was loud but I wasn't scared enough to cry. We played on the playground again today and I asked my teacher, Miss Donna, to go down the curvy slide with me. She said her legs were to long, but she went anyway! For art today, we painted our hands and made handprints.

Instead of playing, I stood beside my teacher, Miss Gay, and watched everyone make their handprints. When it was time to go, the school bus was in front of the school. I wanted to ride it so badly! Some of my friends get to ride it home. Mommy said maybe someday . . .

GrandPa's New Den

. . . is ORANGE. Can you believe that?

The only orange thing Daddy lets me like is Cheetos. I was eating some on the way home from GrandPa's when I accidentally fell asleep!

PreSchool

Today I started preschool! I get to go to Mommy's school on Tuesday and Friday mornings. It takes a lot of stuff to get a girl ready for school!

This is how happy I was to be up at 6:30. If you know me well, you know I'm not an early bird. Preschool starts at 7:15! It takes about 15 minutes to drive to Mommy's school. We were up and out very early today!

By the time we got to school, I was awake and happy!

See my cute backpack? I picked it out.

This is the art project we did today - a self portrait. I also ate breakfast at school, went to gym, had circle time and sang songs, and played on the playground. Mommy and I only cried for a minute! It was a fun day! I think I'll go back.

Happy Birthday Nana

Happy Birthday Nana! I love you!

Here is the strawberry cake Mommy and I made Nana.

Aunt Lori met us at the theatre for a party!

Nana had to pretend to blow out her candles because we forgot the matches!

Papa showed me my, I mean, his new toy. An M&M dispenser!

Then we played hide and seek. Papa is looking in the closet! Think he'll ever find me? By the way, this was my hiding place at least 5 times in a row.

Next, Papa took me for a ride.

Then I found this!

What a fun party Nana - family, cake, games, rides and party favors!

Promotion Sunday

I'm not a nursery baby anymore! Today was promotion Sunday at church. I am now in the preschool class! My teachers are on my right and left in the picture, Miss Katherine (Campbell and Mary Kate's mom), and Miss Jennifer (Audrey and Emma's mom). My other teacher is on the far left, by the windows. Her name is Miss Debra. She shared Cheetos and grapes with me in Sunday school. I think I'm going to like the preschool class just fine (but I'm growing up too fast for Mommy).

TUCI Trot

Mommy decided in May that she would like to be a runner. She set a goal of running a 5K by the end of summer. Please keep in mind that my Mommy is very non-athletic. Daddy is the athletic one! Guess what? While we were in Memphis, Me-yuh, Daddy, Mama Kaye and I went to watch Mommy and Ms. Sharon run their first 5K race. It was called the TUCI Trot. Ms. Sharon is very athletic and was very sweet to help Mommy reach her goal. She even ran at Mommy's pace for the whole race! Mommy and Ms. Sharon finished the race in 36 minutes and 7 seconds. They finished 112 and 113 of 250. Not bad huh?
On your mark . . . get set . . . go!

See Mommy and Ms. Sharon on the far left?

Here they are - the finish line is in sight!

Go Mommies! YEA!!!!!

Daddy and I got Mommy a trophy.

Dora Live!

I went to Memphis with Me-yuh, Mommy and Ms. Sharon. We saw Dora at the Orpheum! We started our trip with a nap in the car. Did you notice the sucker in Me-yuh's mouth?

Our next stop was Donal's. We had Happy Meals with chicken nuggets, french fries, ketchup, and apples. We got gorilla beanie babies as our prizes! We were happy!

Orpeum . . . here we come!

We got stars to help Dora!

Sweet friends!

Bored in the Basement

We had a bad storm a few days ago so we headed down to the basement. We can't even hear it raining when we are down there. I was bored so Mommy looked through her teaching stuff that is in the basement (you know she doesn't have her own classroom since she is working part-time so all of her teaching tools are in the basement - Daddy is not thrilled about this and makes her throw her stuff out as often as he can . . . but this is another story for another day). Mommy found a package of these magic-tablet-thingies that Mama Kaye gave her for her kids at school a long time ago. You put them in warm water and let them soak a while.

Pretty soon a creature pops out.

I had elephants and rhinos and giraffes and anteaters and leopards and monkeys. I had so much fun playing with them that Mommy let me bring them upstairs.

I squeezed the water out of them and lined them up on the cookie sheet. When they were all out of the water, I just started over again and put them back in the water. I played with them for a long time! I'm glad Mommy didn't throw these away!

Mama Flo's Birthday

Okay . . . so this is a little late since Mama Flo's birthday was July 9. Better late than never, right? We went to celebrate my great-grandmother's 85th birthday. It was a surprise. She thought we were going to celebrate Independence Day. But we had a cook out at Papa's house (this is her Daddy - my great-great-grandfather) with 2 birthday cakes and home-made ice cream and presents! Melissa made this beautiful cake.

I had so much fun playing with my cousins. They played hide-and-seek with me, baseball, and helped me ride Mommy's tricycle!

My cousins' friend Bethany came to play. We took a walk in the soybeans.

I saw a deer, a frog and a turtle while I was there.

Braden and I looked for other creepy crawlies.

We also had fireworks!
