Quote of the Day

"Mommy, when I'm 33, I'm going to sleep in my big girl bed all by myself - just like you."

This is humorous because I go to bed each night in my bed and wake up after an hour or two and then I sleep with Mommy and Daddy for the rest of the night. Seems like this is my plan until I'm grown!

My Babies

Most little girls like to play with baby dolls but I love stuffed animals! Especially cats. This is Kitten (who is also known as QP) and Pocoyo. I dress them in baby doll clothes - including diapers.

And I love pushing them in the stroller. I pushed them all the way to the lake!

Spring Flowers

We went to the nursery to pick out some spring flowers for our planter. I knew I wanted purple flowers since purple is my favorite color!

When I saw this flower, I immediately named it a "peppermint flower" and knew I had to have it too.

My flowers look so pretty! YEA for warm weather!

Flower Girl, Take Four

These are my cousins, Cade and Kaitlin. Their Mommy (Aunt Stephie) asked me to be her flower girl. When my Mommy was a little girl, she was supposed to be Aunt Stephie's flower girl, but she got the chicken pox and was not able to. AND, Kaitlin was Mommy and Daddy's flower girl!

Isn't my dress so cute?

Chloe, Aunt Stephie, Kaitlin, and Ashley. These girls are Aunt Stephie's beautiful daughters. Isn't Stephie a beautiful bride?

I did a great job of sprinklng petals down the aisle. Mommy was glad this church wasn't huge, and that she was close to me, because as soon as I got to the front I whispered in my LOUDEST whisper voice "I DIDN'T USE ALL OF MY PETALS. I HAVE SOME LEFT"
During the ceremony, I turned around and whispered "I'M VERY HUNGRY!" Mom was not amused. A few minutes later, I decided to sit down. See how ladylike? I put the basket under my poofy skirt for a minute until my cousins talked me into taking it out. See their faces?
I was a little naughty during this wedding. Probably a good thing this was not my first flower girl experience, or it might have been my last!
Oh, and one more thing, remember the left over flower petals? I dropped them down the aisle on my way out!

Finches

My finches are back! Hooray! But, there has been another type of bird eating my finches' food. Every time I see these rascals I shout, "HEY! STOP EATING MY FINCHES' FOOD!" I make them fly away. Mommy took a picture of the other birds and sent it to Aunt Judy because she and Uncle Phil enjoy birds as much as I do. She thought they might know what kind of bird is eating my finches' food.

Guess what? Turns out this is also a finch! Aunt Judy said it's called a Common House Finch. OOPS! Sorry for yelling at you guys!

Holy Cross Parade

Last week we had a parade at school! These are my classmates and my teachers.

We made fish windsocks in honor of the upcoming Fish Fry Parade.

Can you tell how much I am enjoying this parade? VERY VERY much!

We sang the songs, Down By The Bay and Have You Ever Been Fishing, while we were marching. In this picture, we stopped marching to do the motions to Have You Ever Been Fishing. Here are the words (it's sung to the tune of Turkey in the Straw) . . .
Have you ever been fishing

on a bright and sunny day,

when you see those little fishies

swimming up and down the bay?

With their hands in their pockets

and their pockets in their pants.

All the little fishies do the hoochie coochie dance!

(And of course, Mommy got a picture of us doing the hoochie coochie dance)

We also recited a poem while we were marching. It is called, Once I Caught a Fish Alive. Here are the words.

1,2,3,4,5

Once I caught a fish alive.

6,7,8,9,10

Then I let it go again.

Why did you let it go?

Because it bit my finger so.

Which finger did it bite?

This little finger on the right.

YEA for parades!

One More Easter Post

I had breakfast with the Easter Bunny last Saturday at church! Miss Kathy and Dr. Rob told us about the meaning of Easter.

Each egg had a symbol of the Easter story.

After the Easter story, Miss Kathy told us why chicks and bunnies are symbols of Easter. They represent new life, just like Jesus. After the serious stuff, it was time for fun! I got to hold the Easter Bunny's hand and lead my friends to the egg hunt!

While I was inside, Daddy and Audrey's Papa hid the eggs!

They did a great job! Ready, Set, GO!

Amelia and I

We played games after the egg hunt.

YIPPEE!

Then we had donuts (my favorite) and orange juice.

And, of course, a craft!
