First Pep Rally

I got to go to my first pep rally at school today! Mommy was worried that it would be too loud for me. It wasn't! I loved it!
Go, Hawks, Go!
This is my new friend, Abidale (Abigail). Her mommy is a teacher too.

Ducks and Swingset with Amelia

Amelia came over today for a visit. I was so happy to see her! Amelia and I have been going to Mother's Morning Out together for a long time. Before that, we played together at Baby Club. Since Amelia's birthday is in November, she doesn't get to go to Holy Cross until next year. I have been missing my friend! Amelia brought some bread for the ducks! We haven't been to see the ducks in a while. We walked to the lake.
Here they come!
Throw them some bread!

Here ducky, ducky, ducky!

YEA! The ducks were glad to see us and we were glad to see them.
Now let's play on the swingset!
Serious girl talk.

We finished our fun afternoon with a little sidewalk chalk.

Peace, Love & Hawks

I have a new school spirit shirt. In addition to Holy Cross, I go to Mommy's school 2 days a week. Mommy and I both love pink so we were so happy to get pink school spirit shirts!
And look at my new shoes! Pink, sparkly, light up shoes . . . what more could a girl want?

Restaurant

Yesterday I had an ear appointment in Paducah. Mommy, Daddy and I drove through Murray on the way home. I was reading signs and the following conversation took place . . .

Me: I'm hungry.
Mommy: We'll get something to eat as soon as we get home.
Me: I want to go to a restaurant.
Mommy: laughs (because we rarely go out to eat), I will cook you some macaroni and cheese when we get home.
Me: Restaurants have macaroni and cheese.
Daddy: We don't have any money to go to a restaurant right now.
Me: whine, ok.

We got home and Mommy fixed my favorite, macaroni and cheese. Then it was bath time and bed time. While mommy was rocking me, this was our conversation (by the way, yes, I am 4, and yes, my Mommy still rocks me to sleep). . .

Me: Mommy, we can use some money from my piggy bank to go to a restaurant.
Mommy: laughs and hugs me, Oh Allie, that is so sweet. I think we can find some money to go to a restaurant, we don't have to use your money.
Me: It's otay, we can just dump out some money from my bank.

When I got home from school today, Daddy had already left for Alabama. He left me a note and $2o to take Mommy to a restaurant. I was so excited! After I called and thanked Daddy, Mommy and I discussed which restaurant we would go to.
Mommy: Do you want to go to a restaurant where you can eat pizza or macaroni and cheese.
Me: Macaroni and cheese!
Mommy: Hmmmm . . . I can't think of a restaurant that has macaroni and cheese.
Me: How 'bout that one we went to for your birthday . . . you know, the one with the animals (that is Patti's, by the way - a special occasion only restaurant).
Mommy: It takes a long time to drive to Patti's
Me: How 'bout the one we went to with Lori? It had macaroni and cheese (that one was in Jackson . . . O'Charley's).
Mommy: laughing her head off, That one takes a long time to get to too.
Align Left
Mommy thought it was hysterical that my choices of restaurants were Patti's and O'Charley's. No McDonald's or Taco Bell or Chuck E. Cheese for me. Not even close this time! Mommy called 3 restaurants in town before finding one that serves macaroni and cheese. We ended up going to Ace's Pizza. Nana joined us. I was one happy girl.

Mommy: Allie, how is your macaroni and cheese?
Me: FANTASTIC! (yes, I really used this word)

Holy Cross Catholic Preschool

Today was my first day at Holy Cross. My teacher, Miss Angie, came to my house to visit me shortly after I was born. I have been on the waiting list for Holy Cross since that visit. Miss Angie is special to Mommy because she taught kindergarten at the school where my Mommy taught, and Mommy had her youngest son as a student when he was in 1st grade. Holy Cross is the best preschool around!
As soon as I got to school, Mommy signed me in and I found my cubby and put my things away.
My face says it all here! I am beyond excited to be at Holy Cross today!
I put my picture in the pocket chart to tell Miss Angie I'm here.
Then I was off to play with my friends, Macey and Olivia. They both go to church with me. Soon after Mommy snapped this picture, we spotted Peter, the gerbil. I love him! I was so busy watching him that I wasn't even sad to see Mommy go. I had a great day!
