My assignment in Kindermusik this past week was to make a statue. We could make anything . . . so of course I chose a kitty cat.
Mommy and I decided to use paper mache to make my statue. I mixed up flour and water for the paste.

Then we soaked strips of newspaper in the paste and stuck them to the balloon.

Before the paint.

Mommy forgot to take any pictures of me painting my sculpture . . . maybe because I demanded my cat be purple (my favorite color). Mommy was thinking black or brown - you know, real cat colors. The directions for the statue encouraged CREATIVITY. My cat is purple, it has one brown eye and one blue eye, a blue nose, and a green mouth . . . now that's creative. By the way, my teacher loved it!
