I love, love, love going to Wal-Mart. Nice ladies always stop Mommy and Daddy so they can talk to me. I love meeting new people! I usually just sit quietly in my seat and smile politely when they talk to me. But tonight was different! I decided to try to talk to the nice ladies before they stopped Mommy to talk to me. Guess what? It worked! Even more nice ladies stopped and talked to me when I talked first. When I got home, I showed Daddy what I said to the nice ladies to get them to stop and visit. My Beautiful Christmas Dress AND 6 Months Old

This is my beautiful Christmas dress. Mommy's cousin Emily sewed and smocked it for me. Mommy says I look just like a baby doll. I think it is so pretty! On Christmas Eve, Mommy, Aunt Lori, Grandmother, Granddaddy, and I got to light the Advent candles at church. It was special! I got to wear my pretty dress. A lady at my church took our picture. I will ask Mommy to post it when she gets a copy.

Can you tell in my pictures that I feel bad? I went to the doctor last week because I had a fever. I had strep throat and an ear infection! I am finally starting to feel better today. I have been talking and laughing and playing. I didn't get to go to my 6-month checkup and get my shots because I was sick. But, I weighed 13 pounds and 12 ounces at the doctor visit. I am also 24 inches long now. I go back to the doctor on January 8 to get my ears checked and to get my 6-month shots.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We are not finished celebrating yet. On New Year's Day we will go to my great-grandparents' house. I have lots of things to tell you about Christmas, but you will have to check back later! It's my bedtime!

My New Sound

I have discovered that I can make the most interesting sound. Once I start, I just can't stop. I do it while I am rolling over, while I am trying to crawl, while I am eating peas, and even when I fuss. It feels too good on my lips to stop! Just listen . . .

Hooray!

Mommy took me to the doctor today just to get weighed and guess what? I am FINALLY on the growth curve! Hooray! I am growing every day. I now weigh 13 pounds and 2 ounces. I am 23 and 1/2 inches long! Tomorrow, on my 5 month birthday, I am going to my Mama Kaye's for Thanksgiving dinner. I get to spend the night there! I know I will have so much fun visiting with everyone! On Thursday, I will get to visit with my family in Paris! Then on Friday there is more company coming. I can't wait! I'll make Mommy and Daddy take lots of pictures so I can share them with you.

Silly Me

Mommy says I have been a little more fussy than usual. She told my Mama Kaye and my Grand-mother. They all wonder if I am trying to get a tooth. Mommy tried to look in my mouth. Every time she opened my mouth I stuck my tongue out so that she couldn't see in! Pretty silly, huh? Mommy never saw a tooth. She also tried feeling around inside my mouth (I made her wash her hands before she did that), but she didn't feel anything either. By the way, what is a tooth anyway?

Green Beans

Today Mommy fed me green beans with my cereal. I really liked them. I got them everywhere. Does that surprise you? They even got into my nose! After I ate, Mommy and Daddy took me to my room to clean me up. Mommy washed my face. She told me she had to get those green beans out of my nose. When she washed my nose I just laughed and laughed. It tickled!!

More Halloween Fun

I had a great time today! My Aunt Cynthia came for a visit. She and Mommy and I went to Mommy's work. I wore my duck costume. All of Mommy's teacher friends thought I was soooooo cute. Her students liked me too! When we got home Daddy carved our pumpkin and made the cutest jack-o-lantern that you ever did see. Then my Aunt Lori and Jason brought little Braden over to trick-or-treat. He was dressed as a tiger. He was so cute! Mommy fed him M&Ms! What fun!

My granddaddy came to see me! He brought Mommy and Daddy lunch. Wasn't that nice? He held me, and talked to me, and put me to sleep. He even put my socks back on my feet! I hope he comes back soon. I like to visit with him!

Silly Charlie

Aunt Lori and I were having the best time visiting. We were minding our own business, and then jealous Charlie dog jumped up into the recliner with us. I think he was happy to be close to us. See him smiling?

I'm Growing

What a good nap! I have done a lot of napping today after my shots. Mommy says it is because of my Tylenol. I love it! It is grape flavored and so sweet and yummy. I was so brave when I got my shots that I hardly cried at all. I now weigh 11 pounds and 13 ounces. I am 22.5 inches long. Daddy told me that I am already 1/3 of Mommy's height! I am still not on that silly growth curve yet! Maybe at my 6 month check-up I will be. My doctor is not worried. She says I will catch up. I am eating well! Dr. Debi says Mommy and Daddy can feed me rice cereal now. And I can eat vegetables and fruits too! Mommy bought some green beans at the store for me to try next week. I can hardly wait! I am sure Daddy will take pictures of me eating. I will share them with you soon. Thanks for visiting my blog!

What a fun weekend!

Cookies

I have been busy baking cookies for my cousin, Kalli. She is in college, you know. I am so proud of her. Guess what? Tomorrow Daddy is going to Alabama for a football game. Mommy and I are going to take our first overnight trip! We are going to see my Great Grandmother Flo and Great Grandfather Loren. Mommy has lots of cousins who are coming to visit too. Daddy is going to drop us off on his way to Alabama, and pick us up on his way home. Then on Sunday, Mommy's Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Chris and their children are coming to visit. THEN on Monday, Mommy's friend, LaDonna, is coming to visit. Wow! We are going to have so much fun! More later!

Roll Tide

I watched my Alabama boys from the floor this week. They were winning while I was awake! But, I had to take a nap during the game again. Mama Kaye made me a cute outfit. Do you like it? I am still eating and growing and sleeping and smiling. I have learned that I have legs and have been kicking them like crazy. It is so fun. Mommy keeps showing me these silly things called feet. Hmmmmmmm I wonder how they taste???

Hi again! I watched my first Bama game on Saturday. It was so much fun! There was just one problem though, I couldn't keep my eyes open! Did you see the slideshow Mommy made? I am still enjoying my tasty hands! Yummy!

3 Months Old

Hi again! Happy 3 month birthday to me! I went to the doctor this morning. I weighed 10 pounds and 5 ounces! Mommy and Daddy were so happy. I also grew 1 3/4 inches longer! AND my head grew 1/2 inch. Dr. Debi says this is good and means my brain is growing too.

Guess what else? I have been sleeping right through my 2 am bottle. My Mommy and Daddy say it is because my belly is getting big enough to hold enough dinner to keep me full until breakfast. I do like to eat breakfast very early, while it is still dark outside. Mommy says it's around 4:30 am. She is happy to sleep through my 2 am bottle too!

Daddy is not going to Alabama this weekend because the ballgame is away. I get to watch my first football game with him Saturday afternoon. I am so excited! I will tell you all about it!

First Blog

Can you believe that I am almost 3 months old? Friday is my 3 month birthday! Mommy and Daddy are going to take me to Dr. Debi to see how much I have grown since last month. All of my premie clothes are way too small. I am just about to grow out of my newborn size clothes too! Last month I weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces. Mommy and Daddy think I have grown so much since then. I can't wait to see. Dr. Debi says I will probably make it onto the growth curve by next month. Mommy and Daddy say I am eating like a little pig. But eating helps me to grow! That is what I am working hardest on right now. Just look at how tiny I used to be!















I am also working on my smile. My Mommy and Daddy do all kinds of silly things to make me smile. We have so much fun. I like to tease them though . . . when Daddy gets the camera out, I do my best to hide my smile! I think he has only caught me once. Boy, did I look silly!
